Structural Engineer

Overview

Acuren Group is actively seeking a Structural Engineer to bolster our Engineering Department. The candidate will report to the Engineering Manager. This position will be based out of our Richmond, BC office. Salary range for this role is CA$85,000 to CA$105,000K / yr depending on certifications and experience. Responsibilities

• The candidate will use their structural engineering skills to review structures, design repairs, and prepare drawings. They will guide junior team members and ensure projects are on time, on budget, and meet client needs. The ideal candidate is proactive, client-focused, and passionate about delivering quality results.
• Engineering experience and expertise : Structural review, inspection and repair design of existing buildings and equipment including structural steel buildings, materials handling equipment, temporary work platforms, industrial equipment, and lifting equipment
• Prepare and seal drawings for designs of temporary work platforms and their attachment to existing infrastructure / structures.
• Follow construction safety guidelines
• Monitor on-site construction processes and provide technical support for construction projects
• Mentoring less experienced staff and providing technical support to the engineering team
• Any additional area of expertise across mobile cranes / platforms annual certification, finite element stress and thermal analysis, condition assessment, and fitness for service assessment would be an asset
