Responsibilities :
Develop monitor and implement innovative and goalorientedvocational rehabilitation strategies for Plan Members receivingdisability benefits.
Assist withthe transition process of ill and injured members of the CanadianArmed Forces by facilitating their return to workpostrelease.
Collaborate withPlan Members and stakeholders to devise creative returntoworksolutions.
Manage budgetseffectively.
Deliver clear andeffective communication to Plan Members the Policy Holder andvarious medical professionals often conveying complex or difficultmessages.
Ensure the availabilityof the most effective and efficient supports for our PlanMembers.
Ensure the mosteffective and efficient supports are available to our PlanMembers.
Whatyou will need tosucceed :
A related university degree; preference given to candidates with abackground in Health Sciences with a focus on Psychology Counselingor Nursing.
Accreditation may beadvantageous.
Some vocationalrehabilitation experience or several years of active rehabilitationexperience.
Solid understandingof Rehabilitation Industry Standards Disability Insurance medicalterminology and Disability and Rehabilitation management bestpractices.
Proficiency inMicrosoft Office suite.
Comfortable presenting to largegroups.
Bilingual in French andEnglish (oral and written).
Excellent written and oral communicationskills.
Experience managingbudgets in a professionalsetting.
Possession of a validdrivers license and access to a car for travel to variouslocations.
Prior militaryexperience would be a significantasset.
Ability to multitask andprioritize particularly when managing large and complexcaseloads.
Excellentinterpersonal and conflict management skills with a focus onfinding win / win solutions.
Capacity to make difficult decisions independently withconsideration for their potential impact on Plan Members and thebusiness and deliver those decisionseffectively.
