Senior Business Process Consultant
Job Description
We are working with a Federal Government client seeking a Senior Business Process Consultant to join their team on a remote 1-year contract (Potential for extension by up to 5 additional years)
Roles and Responsibilities (included but not limited to) :
- Analyzing business functional requirements to identify information, procedures and decision flows;
- Prototyping potential solutions, scenarios, providing trade off information and suggesting a recommended course of action;
- Identifying and analyzing gaps (comparing as is and to be ) based on a consistent set of criteria (turnaround time, costs, etc.
- to determine processes for re-design and improvement;
- Identifying, recommending and planning new processes or modifications to existing processes;
- Identifying and providing preliminary costs / benefit scenarios of potential options;
- Identifying key initiatives to enable the organization to deploy high-impact business processes that are focused, accountable and measurable;
- Identifying new requirements and opportunities for applying efficient and effective solutions;
- Developing and integrating process and information models between processes to eliminate information and process redundancies;
- Documenting workflows and mapping existing processes using business, workflow and organizational tools;
- Developing and documenting new processes and documenting processes changes and impact;
- Developing and / or assisting in implementing new processes;
- Developing policies, procedures and guidelines;
- Advising Information Technology (IT) groups on business requirements;
- Developing training and information sessions and mentoring on business processes.
Qualifications and Skills :
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in the last ten (10) years providing advice in developing and integrating process and information models between processes to eliminate information and process redundancies
- A relevant Project Management Institute (PMI) certification.
- Experience interviewing or facilitating focus groups comprised of stakeholders involved in processes and graphically documenting these processes
- Security : Reliability
