Environment Permitting & Management

The Environmental Permitting and Management team comprises close to 100 employees at all levels involved in keystone projects throughout their lifecycle : from their early assessment of key constraints to strategic development of regulatory approvals processes to compliance management through construction and operations.

Our team works collaboratively within projects to gain social acceptance and manage our clients' commitments to the environment and sustainable development.

We are currently seeking a Vegetation Ecologist in Saskatchewan.

Your role within the team

  • Lead vegetation and wetland surveys and support other biological surveys following established protocols.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert for provincial and federal environmental assessments.
  • Coordinate and support efforts to obtain environmental approvals for projects, including regulator liaison.
  • Provide advice and guidance on environmental management as well as environmental compliance issues.
  • Manage projects, including management of progress, budget, schedule and quality.
  • Effectively delegate tasks and activities to junior staff and provide technical guidance on assigned tasks.
  • Support the development of proposals, qualification documents and other business development related activities.

The ideal candidate

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Biology or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of practical, progressive environmental consulting experience including vegetation and wetland surveys, environmental assessment and permitting, and construction environmental management.

Familiarity and demonstrated experience with survey protocols and environmental assessment processes in Saskatchewan.

  • The ability to lead, motivate and mentor technical and professional staff at different levels of career development.
  • Knowledge of and experience with project management fundamentals including cost control, scope management, and scheduling.

Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Must possess a valid driver’s license.
