The Stakeholder Relations Associate / Intentional Communities Consortium (ICC) Coordinator is responsible for administrative support to Batay Reena and the ICC and grant management and advocacy work focusing on community, funding, and government engagement.
The Stakeholder Relations Associate / Intentional Communications Consortium Coordinator creates a positive and compelling message to help engage stakeholders to assist Reena, those we serve, and the developmental disabilities sector in increasing support and resources for the sector and Reena.

Key Responsibilities
General Responsibilities
- Organizes and supports ICC activities, including workshops, advocacy events, and meetings with member organizations.
- Provides administrative and logistical support for ICC projects, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to timelines.
- Assists with membership engagement efforts, including identifying potential new members and maintaining communication with existing members.
- Develops and distributes pre-vetted lists of ICC member organizations for volunteer opportunities twice annually.
- Researches housing and developmental services conferences across Canada for the ICC Chair and other representatives to present at, enhancing ICC's visibility and influence.
- Coordinates the submission of presentation proposals and manages related communications with conference organizers.
- Creates bi-annual reports on ICC’s initiatives, progress, and impact to stakeholders and sponsors.
- Tracks project metrics and provides updates to ICC members and supporters.
- Researches available grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and private organizations that align with Reena’s mission and program priorities.
- Liaise with Reena’s program staff to understand organizational needs and funding priorities.
- Collaborates with teams to gather data and program details necessary for strong grant applications.
- Prepares compelling and accurate grant applications, ensuring alignment with funder requirements and organizational goals.
- Coordinates the timely submission of reports to funders, including financial and programmatic updates.
- Supports Stakeholder Relations with government affairs activities by establishing positive relationships with elected officials and civil servants at the local, regional, provincial and federal levels to improve the lives of those Reena serves and to carry out Reena’s mission
- Supports, develops and implements strategies to profile Reena and the developmental disabilities sector to secure funding and enable policy development and legislation to support increased awareness and support for those with developmental disabilities
- Monitors news, government sources and social media for potential changes in regulatory, legislative and public perception to ensure Reena reacts effectively and advises its stakeholders of the resulting impact of their operations
- Writes briefs on particular educational, promotional, and policy development initiatives.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Formal Education and Experience
University Degree in political science, public policy, Canadian studies or relevant political experienceMinimum of 5 years of experience in project coordination, stakeholder relations, grant writing, or a related field, with demonstrated success in managing complex projects and engaging diverse stakeholders.Understanding of the political landscape in the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario and CanadaAbility to evaluate alternative solutions and identify and act on the optimum course of action.Able to prioritize multiple assignments and meet strict deadlines.Excellent communication skills, verbal and writtenTakes personal responsibility for resolving service issues in a timely manner.Reinforces sharing of expertise between team members and among teams to achieve superior services / results.Ability to manage and delegate full authority and responsibility with the latitude to do a task in their way in order to develop specific characteristics, including the opportunity to make and learn from mistakes in a non-critical settingReena is committed to providing accessible employment practices that are in compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (‘AODA’).
