Job Title : Senior Analyst, Mechanical Systems Engineering (Temporary 12 months)
Job Location : Mirabel, QC
Job Schedule : Day Shift
Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical systems and structures modification design, testing, and certification for the CF‑18 and CT114 programs.
- Address maintenance snags, analyze them relative to design data and in‑service experience, and assess their impact on system safety.
- Provide technical support and engineering disposition to restore structural integrity and system performance of damaged structures / systems in line with MIL‑STD, FAR, TC, or corporate standards.
- Develop and review mechanical system modifications, installation work instructions, procedures, and recommendations.
- Identify discrepancies in drawings before production release and implement corrective actions.
- Validate subsystem / equipment performance against specifications via testing.
- Support and participate in integration tests, developing test scripts as needed.
- Coordinate cross‑functional requirements communication and optimization.
- Obtain regulatory approval for modifications / repairs on aircraft mechanical systems / components.
- Assess reliability impact of proposed design changes per ARP4761 or MIL‑STD‑882E.
- Conduct root cause analysis on system safety and airworthiness degradations, recommending corrective actions.
- Facilitate continuous improvement through reliability tasks and process recommendations.
- Develop action plans for unanticipated events and proactive issue anticipation.
- Monitor and communicate project status, business issues, and significant developments.
- Prepare and review technical reports.
- Improve daily processes and ensure all work meets quality requirements.
- Mentor junior level engineers.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, aeronautics, or equivalent.Minimum 10 years of experience in aviation mechanical systems engineering or equivalent.Superior knowledge of one or more aircraft systems : fuel, hydraulic, ventilation, equipment cooling, fire / smoke detection, oxygen, bleed air.Strong technical writing skills; ability to write reports in English.Experience with software such as MS Office, Relex / Windchill (asset), Cameo No Magic (asset).CAD experience (preferably with CATIA).Knowledge of ISO / IEC 15288 : 2008 (major asset).Knowledge of MBSE SysML (major asset).Strong communication skills.Eligibility Criteria
