The Opportunity :

Red River Co-op is recruiting for the position of Overnight Grocery Lead Hand at our Seasons Food Store located at 755 Sterling Lyon, in Winnipeg, Manitoba .

This position reports to the Grocery Manager.

Essential responsibilities of the position include the following :

• Train, supervise staff, and demonstrate leadership in the proficient operation of the overnight stocking crew.
• Maintain sections of merchandise (non-perishable food, dairy, frozen food, general merchandise, health and beauty, bulk food) as assigned in an effective manner.

Ensure first-in, first-out rotation is followed at all times, and that close-dated product is reported to the Grocery Manager.

• Receive, inspect, and store orders upon delivery to ensure all product is immediately stored in proper temperature-controlled environment.
• Ensure the Grocery Department is properly stocked with merchandise and faced at all times.
• Assist in building mass and bunk end displays as required.
• Present a neat, clean, fresh, well-merchandised department and related work areas (sales floor, end caps, coolers, freezers, receiving area, warehouse,
• Perform general housekeeping duties to ensure department image and safety standards are followed. Ensure sanitation and cleanliness standards are to Co-op specifications, including cleaning of all equipment and display cases.

About You :

You have previous experience supervising in a retail grocery department, preferred but not required. Available to work 32-40 hours a week.
