Position Title : Changeover Labor
Department : Event Services
Reports To : Changeover Lead or Changeover Manager
Classification : Part-time / On-call
Compensation : $20.00 an hour
Position Summary : Under direction, set up and take down meeting rooms, ballrooms, and exhibit halls.
Essential Functions :
- Participates in Event set-ups and strikes, including but not limited to, chairs, tables, riser / stages, reader boards, stanchions, lecterns, piano, office furniture and equipment, etc.
- Cleans equipment when necessary.
- Makes recommendations for the improvement of all phases of the facility operation.
- Works safely at all times, notifying the Lead or Supervisor immediately of any accidents / incidents.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Experience / Training / Education :
Required : None
Desirable : Previous experience in a similar line of work
License / Certificate :
Prefer forklift certificate
Knowledge / Abilities / Skills :
Knowledge of : Safe work practices
Safe work practices
Ability to :
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing using the English language
Receive direction both verbally and in writing and follow those directions precisely
Present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times during the workday
Skill to :
Operate radio devices
Physical and Environmental Requirements :
This position requires lifting at least 50lbs. without assistance for 40% of the workday; walking for long distances for more than 50% of the workday;
sitting, bending, and stooping will be required; subject to adverse conditions; irregular hours will be required.
