Greenfield is looking for a Lab Technician to join our growing team.
The Laboratory Technician role is part of the Brampton’s Quality department. The successful candidate will perform the various tasks required to ensure that products manufactured at the Brampton Packaging Facility are monitored regularly and manufactured according to specifications.

Your Experience Should Include
Post-secondary education in chemistry or biochemistryKnowledge of GMP and ISO standards3-5 years of related experience in a laboratory setting is an assetHands on instrumentation experience with GC, UV, FTIR is an assetAbility to work overtimeMust be comfortable with rotating shiftsExperience in a continuous and batch process environment is an asset.Job Responsibilities
Sets up, adjusts, operates and maintains laboratory equipment used in quality testing and process controlPerforms a wide range of lab tests to determine if products conform to applicable requirements and specificationsRecords QC testing results in appropriate manner as required and signs off in appropriate sections of batch records and C of A’s, as requiredRejects incoming materials, in- process and finished goods if a nonconformity is identifiedProvides QC release of products for shipment to customers if product conforms to specificationsObtains samples of incoming raw materials for testingReceives and inspects raw packaging materials for conformity with requirements, as well as, visually inspects finished packaged goods to verify that labels, markings, cleanliness, and condition are satisfactoryAssists in the maintenance of the calibration program for laboratory equipmentOperates package labeling software and printer and ensures accuracy in the resulting labelsCleans and sterilizes laboratory equipment as necessary. Performs housekeeping in the lab, sample retain area, and other areas in which lab supplies and lab waste materials are storedAdheres to and fully complies with the company’s Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality ProceduresPerforms such testing as required to confirm conformity of product with pharmacopoeia compendial requirements (USP / EP / BP / JP) and shelf-life claimsEnsures that inventories of unexpired reagents, labels, customer sample kits, GC compressed gases, consumable spare parts for QC equipment etc. that are used in the QC function are maintained above critical inventory levelsAids in packaging operations occasionally and operates process equipment in a safe and efficient manner while processing alcohols and solvents.Total Compensation & Care
This role follows an established wage progression based on experience, performance, and internal equity.
