Assistant Superintendent

On behalf of our clients Matchbox Consulting is seeking a highly motivated Assistant Superintendent with experience in wood-frame multi-family residential construction to join our dynamic team.

As an Assistant Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in assisting the on-site management of our projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a community-oriented company committed to delivering high-quality developments in Vancouver.

Responsibilities :

• Assist the Superintendent in overseeing all aspects of construction activities for wood-frame multi-family residential projects, including scheduling, coordination of subcontractors, and quality control.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to address design changes, challenges, and technical issues.
• Monitor project progress and identify and resolve any issues or delays in a timely manner.
• Coordinate and lead on-site meetings, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members and subcontractors.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality standards are met and maintain accurate records of construction activities.
• Assist in managing project budgets and expenses, including procurement of materials and equipment.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to on-site teams, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Assist in implementing and enforcing safety protocols and promoting a culture of safety awareness on the construction site.

Requirements : Must Have :

Must Have :

• Proven experience in wood-frame multi-family residential construction.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Nice to Have :

• Familiarity with townhome construction.
• Experience working on projects in Vancouver.
