Overview
This role is responsible for managing and optimizing manufacturing technology systems to ensure seamless operations and enhance productivity and quality. It requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Operations team to identify, evaluate, and pilot implementation of technology / IT solutions that improve manufacturing / operational efficiency, quality, and communication.
- Work with Local and Corporate IT personnel to manage and ensure IT manufacturing systems are well maintained, including hardware, software, and network infrastructure. Manage licenses and vendor relationships as needed.
- Represent manufacturing in the deployment and evolution of the information system, collaborating with departments to ensure manufacturing requirements are addressed and integrated.
- Monitor system performance and conduct regular maintenance to ensure optimal functionality.
- Manage functional setup and resolve functional issues related to manufacturing systems, documenting resolutions for future reference.
- Serve as the industrial reference for projects deployed at the group level.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure data security and compliance with industry standards. Maintain policies and user access in a SharePoint repository and keep it up to date.
- Provide training and support to staff on the use of manufacturing technology systems, including potential after-hours support when needed.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in manufacturing technology and recommend upgrades or improvements as needed. Travel to technical expos or participate in webinars may be involved.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Education And Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Certification in relevant IT fields (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft).PMP certification or equivalent experience in managing projects.Experience
Proven experience in selecting and implementing manufacturing technology systems.Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, systems, and IT infrastructure.Knowledge of data security and compliance standards.Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing software.Familiarity with networks, computer and IT infrastructure hardware and cybersecurity.Knowledge of automation and robotics in manufacturing.Technical & Functional Skills
