The Opportunity : The Senior Manager, Compensation and HR Systems oversees and supports all cash compensation and payroll programs, policies, and processes while leading HRIS implementation and maintenance initiatives.
This role is based on site.
Responsibilities :
- Serve as the primary liaison for the core HR Information System (HRIS), collaborating closely with key stakeholders to drive continuous enhancements and ensure seamless integration of additional modules and supplementary systems.
- Develop, implement and manage all cash compensation programs and related processes.
- Manage the administration of the annual salary review process, variable compensation plans, job evaluation programs and processes, pay equity compliance and external market competitiveness.
- Oversee the payroll function ensuring that all payments, reporting and government remittances are accurate, timely and in accordance with internal standards and external legislative requirements.
- Lead the development and execution of a systems plan and related components, designed to enhance the quality and accessibility of employee and HR related information.
- Provide leadership to a team of direct reports, offering ongoing coaching, mentorship, and development opportunities while fostering a positive organizational culture and conducive work environment.
Required Skills and Knowledge :
- Proficient in guiding and mobilizing teams to achieve specified business objectives
- Extensive familiarity with job evaluation techniques, salary surveys and benchmarking compensation
- Proficiency in crafting statistical and analytical reports
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office suit, along with expertise in compensation modeling and project management
- Skilled in comprehending and dissecting HR data through HRIS platforms and custom reports
- Confidentiality in handling employee information in a professional manner
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- Very high attention to detail and accuracy
- Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills
- Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal
Education and Experience :
- Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
- 6+ years of related experience in compensation, payroll and HRIS related experience along with 2+ years of people management experience
- Related designations are an asset
