Data Analytics Engineer

The Data Analytics Engineer is responsible for building and maintaining the systems to gather, clean, summarize and interpret the data that will be used to drive reporting of key metrics related to the impact and reach of Let's Talk Science programs as well as data related to internal operations within the organization.

The incumbent also plays a significant role in contributing ideas and implementing and assessing the progress of Let’s Talk Science’s information data strategy.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Post-secondary education or experience in Analytics Engineering, Business Intelligence, Data Engineering or Data Analytics
• At least five (5) years of experience in data analysis or related field
• Experience gathering, cleaning and summarizing data
• Experience in data visualization
• Statistical analysis skills an asset
• Effective communicator and ability to translate business needs into tractable work items
• Proficient in data tools such as SQL and Excel
• Experience processing and analyzing data using languages such as Python and R
• Understanding of the ETL process
• Experience with data modeling concepts and design
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau and Google Looker Studio an asset
• Experience in CRM tools such as Raisers Edge and Zoho an asset
• IPaaS development experience an asset (Make IPaaS experience is even better!)
• Strong communication skills, particularly in relaying technical concepts in non-technical terms
