Overview
Our client has an immediate opening for Mechanical Design Engineer Degree or Diploma preferred as well as experience in the Control Systems, Automation and Robotics industry. Position is based out of our office in Burlington, Ontario. Regular full-time working hours consist of 40 hours per week Mon. – Fri. and are determined by the departmental supervisors to meet organizational demands. Overtime may be required on a project-to-project basis. Position will require some traveling. (Canada US and Mexico). Valid passport and driver license is required.
Salary Range : $35 to 45 / hr

Responsibilities
- Mechanical Design : Responsible for the design of Automated Machinery, Robotic Systems, EOAT, material handling equipment; Developing and maintaining custom and standard designs; Developing new standards and equipment
- Supporting Sales department : Inconcepting of equipment, EOAT for quotation purposes; Estimating mechanical, automation portion of quotations; Securing pricing of components for the quotation process; Supporting Sales department in onsite customer reviews and concept meetings
- Material Procurement : Specifying purchased and manufactured equipment from outside suppliers (mechanical); Releasing order to purchasing of these material and equipment; Ensuring timelines of purchased and manufactured equipment to meet expected deliveries; Securing pricing of components for purchase
- Project Management : Assist developing timelines and schedule for projects with other departments; Assist in keeping timelines for projects with production and purchasing; Onsite customer meetings; Working with Microsoft Project and Excel for scheduling
Qualifications
Degree or Diploma preferred, with experience in the Control Systems, Automation and Robotics industry.Location : Office-based in Burlington, Ontario.Travel : Some traveling (Canada, US and Mexico).
