PositionSummary
Reportingto the Director Development and Communications theManagerCommunications and Marketing is responsible for thedevelopment andimplementation of all communications and marketingstrategies of Mon SheongFoundation.
The incumbent will oversee theproduction of communicationsmaterials and marketing campaigns;increase the digitization of the Foundationsmarketing efforts;
andcollaborate with the rest of the Development andCommunications teamto enhance Mon Sheongs image while promoting its servicesevents andfundraisingneeds.
Responsibilities
Developand implementcommunications and marketing initiatives to promoteMon Sheongs work andelevate its brandimage.
Overseethe preparationof written communications such as feature articlespress releases letters andspeeches; marketing collateral such asflyers posters and brochures;
andvarious publications such asnewsletters magazines and annualreports.
Leadthe creation of newwebsites to ensure sufficient functionality andsupport is provided for theFoundations services events andfundraisinginitiatives.
Managestrategyactivity content engagement and advertising campaigns ofsocial mediaaccounts to enhance the Foundations digitalpresence.
Supervisemainstreammedia relations and media pitch activities.
Workclosely with theManager Event Management to coordinate and executeFoundation events whileoverseeing the production of promotionalmaterials and external communicationsto generate event publicityandcoverage.
Workclosely with theManager Resource Development to produce fundraisingcampaigns and assist inthe solicitation and stewardship ofcorporate sponsors donors andprospects.
Collaboratewithpromotional partners vendors and service providers formarketing activitiesasneeded.
Actas a liaison tofacilitate understanding between the Foundation andthe community.
Performother duties as assigned from time totime.
Qualifications
- Postsecondary education inmarketing communications public relations advertising orequivalent
- Work experience in corporatecommunications and marketing original writing and editing and somepublic relations
- Strong English and Chinesecommunication skills both verbal and written; ability to translatebetween the two languages a definiteasset
- Strong relationships with mediaacross Canada
- Proven work experience indigital marketing
- Experience of contributing tofundraising proposal
- Strong management and leadershipskills
- Detailoriented with demonstratedproofreading skills
- Excellent time and projectmanagement skills with the ability prioritize and oversee multipletasks
- Ability to thinkstrategically
- Proficient in Microsoft Officesuite
- Valid drivers license withaccess to a reliable vehicle anasset
