Responsibilities:
Technology & Innovation Leadership
  • Stay current on emerging trends, technologies, and research developments in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
  • Monitor industry advancements and academic research to identify opportunities and innovations
  • Develop and present technology assessments, reports, and strategic recommendations to leadership
  • Evaluate emerging AI/ML tools, frameworks, platforms, and methodologies for potential adoption
AI/ML Strategy & Project Leadership
  • Collaborate with business leaders, researchers, and technical stakeholders to develop long-term AI/ML strategies and roadmaps
  • Lead the planning, development, and implementation of AI and Machine Learning initiatives
  • Drive the successful execution of cross-functional AI/ML projects from concept through deployment
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on AI/ML best practices, architecture, and innovation opportunities
Research & Strategic Partnerships
  • Identify business challenges and future technology requirements to support organizational growth
  • Build and strengthen relationships with universities, research institutions, industry experts, and technology partners
  • Collaborate with professors, researchers, and external stakeholders on joint innovation and research initiatives
  • Support technology transfer opportunities and applied research projects
Business Growth & Investment Strategy
  • Identify emerging technologies and new investment opportunities within the AI/ML landscape
  • Develop business cases and recommendations for strategic technology investments
  • Advocate for the expansion of AI/ML capabilities, resources, and talent

Qualifications and Skills:
Required
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in:
    • Artificial Intelligence
    • Machine Learning
    • Computer Science
    • Data Science
    • Engineering
    • Mathematics
    • Or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and emerging technologies
  • Experience leading technology strategy, research initiatives, or innovation programs
  • Experience managing cross-functional technical projects
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value
  • Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
Preferred
  • Experience collaborating with universities, research institutions, or innovation ecosystems
  • Experience evaluating and implementing emerging AI technologies
  • Knowledge of modern AI/ML frameworks, tools, and platforms
  • Experience developing business cases and technology investment recommendations
  • Strong leadership experience within technology-driven organizations
