Ganotec is a full service, heavy industrial contractor serving the industrial sector across Canada. Ganotec typically self performs all major disciplines including, civil, structural steel erection, heavy mechanical equipment installation, process piping and electrical / instrumentation and controls.
We conduct our business through a variety of commercial contract styles including full turnkey, EPC, design build, T&M and conventional discipline packages.
We have always been a strong proponent of partnering , working in collaboration with owners, major equipment suppliers and engineers at the early stages of the project development phase to allow for a more cost-effective execution strategy for the project.

Location
This role is for our projects in Eastern Canada.
Responsibilities
- Daily planning of foreman and crew activities
- Assists in the coordination and planning of projects in a particular construction area
- Oversees all operations relating to a specific discipline / segment of work
- Directs discipline craft supervisors on site
- Performs daily inspections of work performed
- Provides job safety training and awareness for personnel
- Establishes budgetary guidelines for the job, and ensures that cost control measures are being followed
- Establishes quality standards of all jobs, and ensures that all quality assurance and company standards are being met
Qualifications
- 8+ years' construction experience with 3+ years being in a Mechanical Superintendent / Leadership capacity (preferably for infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, dams, wastewater treatment plants, etc.).
- Ability to oversee multiple disciplines such as (steel, piping, mechanical)
- Must be a self-starter, highly motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to quickly learn and understand various processes regarding Kiewit’s policies, procedures and software programs.
- Ability to identify and resolve any problems that may arise.
- Excellent organizational, administrative, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong experience in leadership, safety, negotiations, planning, and contract administration.
- Fluency in French (written and verbal) is required
- Working knowledge of English (written and verbal) is considered an asset, as mobility between Canadian provinces is required.
