This position is based in Ottawa, Canada and follows Ericsson's hybrid work model.

Ericsson Lab Operation Hardware Management is looking for an ICT (Information & Communications Technology) Asset manager to join our global Hardware Investment team.

Lab Operation Hardware (HW) Management is a global asset management function responsible for the investment set-up, procurement, operation, maintenance and decommission of the HW residing within Ericsson s R&D labs across the globe.

We improve the value of the HW investments through our processes, tools and data driven approach to enable the best HW utilization and business decisions for our stakeholders.

What you will do

  • You will be a part of one of our 3 global Hardware & Infrastructure (HWI) teams mirroring how the Ericsson R&D organizations are divided.
  • Support and guide in the different phases of the R&D organizations HW investments.
  • We handle everything from the correct set-up of an investment request and asset creation to quote requests, ordering, follow up of orders and invoice handling.
  • Solving issues regarding all the above are also part of the tasks of an ICT Asset manager.
  • The requests are all submitted through our ticketing tool, but personal interaction is also required, both in personal and digital meetings as we are working in a fully digital hybrid environment.
  • Create reports from our different tools and presentations to different Lab Operations functions as well as stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the HWI / HWM teams and also with different Finance functions, Sourcing, suppliers, Legal and Insurance among others.
  • As we are committed to deliver high quality information in all aspects of HW Management, you will work together with our stakeholders towards product standardization whenever possible.
  • The HWI team is a very important part in this work as well as in the improvement work of processes and tools functions in our area.

You are expected to be an active part in this constant strive.

You will bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Logistics, Sourcing or any equivalent or relevant industry experience.
  • Experience from multi-national global organizations.
  • Business acumen, preferably from B2B, to detect and understand business needs and requirements.
  • Good understanding of the investment process and principles regarding asset creation and financial life cycle mgmt.
  • Experience of order handling; customer service; procurement; sourcing; sales in IT / tech B2B.
  • SAP knowledge is a plus.
  • Interest in learning from colleagues, peers, and stakeholders in the Ericsson community.
