COO / Health Care

Reporting to the CEO, and as a member of the ExecutiveLeadership Team (ELT), the Chief Operating Officer (COO) oversees corporate andregional services, in alignment with organizational values, policies, andobjectives.

The COO ensures adherence to legislative, regulatory, andcontractual requirements, standards of service, and Quality of Life domains.

The COO provides strategic leadership through the delivery ofcomplex corporate and service-related activities and provides practicalday-to-day leadership by coaching and building capacity within theorganization.

This position develops strong working relationships with avariety of external stakeholders and is integral to shaping and articulatingthe organization’s vision, values, and organizational culture to deliver on itsmission and mandate.

This is an excellent opportunity for an innovative,solution-focused, and collaborative leader who is dedicated to shaping andimplementing organizational vision while providing support for organizationoperations.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of strategic andoperational planning in combination with program development, appliedexperience and community engagement.

The ideal candidate will have Masters’ degree in business, MBA, commerce, or finance. Professionalaccounting designation a real plus - CA, CGA, CMA with ten years of progressive leadership experience within the public sector healthcare industry an asset.

The role requires excellent interpersonal communication andteam-building skills, with a commitment to building a positive and effectiveorganizational culture.

An equivalent combination of experience, education and skillswill also be considered.
