Overview
The WHS CDA Administrative Support position supports AHS with the mandatory Communicable Disease Assessment Submissions & Escalations Program by processing CDA submissions for new hires. This role also provides backup coverage to the Administrative Support position of the Director and assists with the day‑to‑day operation of the WHS team, performing a full range of complex administrative duties.
Responsibilities
- Process CDA submissions for new hires.
- Provide on‑call phone coverage during business hours and manage on‑call schedule entry.
- Assist with recruitment processes, ePeople timekeeping (payroll), calendar maintenance, travel arrangements, data entry, and document transcription, formatting, editing, and proofreading.
- Schedule meetings, create agendas, book rooms, arrange audio‑visual equipment, and transcribe minutes for distribution.
- Assist in the development of WHS communications or other documentation as required.
- Provide vacation and task coverage as needed for the WHS Administrative team.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma with a minimum of four years of related experience and progressively increased responsibilities.Secondary education in Business Administration with designation as an Administrative Assistant or equivalent.Compliance with Health Information Act (HIA), Freedom of Information and Privacy (FOIP), and other privacy legislation in effect.Additional Required Qualifications

Considerable knowledge in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, e‑People, RMS, or other payroll and recruitment software experience.Proficient in learning new software / programs.Experience in a healthcare / medical setting considered an asset.Location Details
Red Deer Regional Hospital – eligible to work in hybrid (on / off site) within Alberta. Negotiable location within Central Zone. Regular full‑time, 1.00 FTE, 7.75 hours per shift, 2 weeks shift length, days shift pattern, Saturday / Sunday days off. Minimum salary $18.86, maximum salary $31.42. Posting end date 04-FEB-2026. Date available 09-MAR-2026.
