Your Position & How You Will Contribute :

Based in York Region Reporting to the Director, Business and MDU Services, the MDU Sales and Operations Manager is a passionate and highly driven individual with experience in the telecom industry who is excited to be part of a growing start-up.

Your role will be an integral part of our strategy execution and company growth goals. On the sales side, we are seeking someone to secure Access Agreements with Property Managers and Owners to drive the expansion of the telMAX network to residential and commercial multiple occupier units.

Operationally, we are looking for someone to drive efficiency, manage our relationships with property managers and owners while also overseeing and managing the correct deployment process of the network build process.

Responsibilities & Key Duties include :

Sales

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets within the Residential and Commercial Multi-tenant building market.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities by building relationships with property management companies, developers, and real estate professionals to expand telMAX’s Fibre network reach
  • Negotiate and close agreements with MDU properties for the installation and provision of our telecommunications services.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create targeted campaigns and promotional materials.
  • Identify and pursue new network extension opportunities

Operations

  • Drive Access Agreement adoption across property managers within the telMAX network footprint
  • Develop and lead weekly sales, build program, status and build performance reviews
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives for continuous process improvements, business, MDU program and product development
  • Drive large scale enablement across various functions to ensure the business and MDU services team is supported across all functions
  • Develop weekly and monthly sales reporting
  • Oversee the installation and deployment of telecommunications infrastructure within MDU properties.
  • Coordinate with engineering and technical teams to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain operational processes and procedures to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to meet operational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Have a willingness to dive into unfamiliar areas, adapt approaches as new information is learned and incubate new ideas.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for MDU property managers and owners.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining positive relationships.
  • Conduct regular meetings and site visits to ensure customer satisfaction and identify opportunities for service improvement.

Team Leadership

  • Provide training, support, and performance feedback to team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Education :

Experience in Telecom Business, Sales, Operations, related areas or fields

Experience :

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales and operations within the telecommunications or related industry.
  • Proven partner and relationship management experience
  • Start-up exposure would be an asset
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth
  • Strong understanding of telecommunications infrastructure and services
  • Experience in the multi-dwelling unit market
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards.
  • Leadership experience with a focus on team development and performance management.
  • An analytical and problem-solving mind with the ability to analyse and interpret sales data
  • Results driven and able to thrive in a target-driven environment
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple on-going priorities
  • Ability to handle confidential and non-routine information with discretion and professionalism
  • Ability to take initiative and work under pressure with minimal supervision
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) with a concentration on strong understanding and usage of Excel
  • Proficiency in CRM software
