We are currently looking for a full-time in‑office Claims Handler to join our WBI Home Warranty team in our Surrey office. In this role, you will investigate and assess claims to determine the home warranty coverage provided under the policy, while serving as a liaison between the homeowner and the builder or developer. The position ensures that all claims are managed in accordance with applicable legislation, policy provisions, and company guidelines to resolve claims in a timely and efficient manner.

While our core business is new home warranty, we also offer a full suite of products including bonding, home warranty insurance, deposit protection insurance, and home deposit bonds for both single‑family and multi‑family projects.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Investigate and assess claims to confirm home warranty coverage and identify construction defects and potential liabilities.
- Serve as a liaison between homeowners or strata representatives and builders or developers to facilitate effective resolution.
- Engage external professionals, as needed, to support coverage determinations.
- Review engineering reports and technical assessments relevant to claim files.
- Coordinate with third‑party contractors to scope, estimate, and manage necessary repairs.
- Proactively manage claims while maintaining organized, timely, and accurate records.
- Assist with subrogation and recovery activities.
- Maintain open communication with Underwriting and the Inspections Department to support strong risk management practices.
- Participate in work‑related functions and industry events.
- Maintain required insurance licensing in accordance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications
Level 2 insurance license preferred.Experience handling home warranty or property claims.Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong skills in Word and Excel.Knowledge of a second language such as Punjabi, Hindi, Mandarin, or Cantonese is an asset.Obtain a Level 2 License within six months.Skills

The expected salary range for this position is $65,000 to $70,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience, and location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope, and level.Company benefits program.What We Offer
