Job Description
The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is seeking family physicians to join the Collaborative Inpatient Care (CIC) team at Pasqua Hospital in Regina. This position focuses on high-quality, team-based inpatient care in designated hospital units. Physicians will provide comprehensive care to adult medical inpatients, coordinate admissions, and participate in interdisciplinary care planning and quality improvement initiatives.
Physician will act as the most responsible physician for patients admitted to CIC-designated units (Unit 4A, Unit 3B, Unit 3D, Medical Surveillance Unit (MSU), Daytime Admissions) and off-service areas when required due to capacity.
Key Details :
- Manage a typical patient load of 18–20 (medicine units) and 12 MSU, subject to variation by acuity, complexity, and time of year.
- Provide 10 hours of daily in-hospital coverage between 07 : 00–17 : 00 hours for 3–7 days per calendar week, totaling 8–22 weeks annually.
- Daily rounding, admissions, discharge summaries, bedside rounds, and participation in unit-based metrics.
- Emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration, education, and transition of care planning.

Job Qualifications
The successful candidate will have the ability to obtain and maintain a regular licence with the and obtain and maintain membership on the SHA Practitioner Staff. Preference will be given to applicants with an interest and experience in hospital-based medicine.The successful candidate will hold certification or be eligible for certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada.This individual should be a team player, be able to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, staff and management, and function well in a high-volume environment with a commitment to the provision of high-quality patient and family-centered care.All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; in accordance with immigration requirements, preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.The SHA requires a criminal record check (CRC) from every potential SHA team member. The CRC must be dated within the past six (6) months and be satisfactory to the SHA.
