Job Summary
The Distribution Centre (DC) team plays a key role in providing customers with timely and accurate merchandise and products, contributing to the company’s success and reputation of excellent service. Our goal is to ship 100% of customer orders every day, with 99.94% accuracy. The DC Manager oversees the local operation, with day‑to‑day support from the Lead Hand.
DC Support is comprised of :
DC Support Team Schein Members (TSMs) are responsible for all aspects of receiving and distribution center shipments per company policies and guidelines including, but not limited to, scheduling inbound carrier deliveries, processing required paperwork or reports, and handling all internal and external customer inquiries. Understanding product priorities and time constraints, as well as recording, submitting and filing of all required paperwork and reports, are key aspects of the role.
Daily processing of customer orders, which includes printing relevant picking and shipping documentation, picking / packing / checking (auditing), shipping and placing of marketing inserts, is of vital importance. Timely and accurate processing of put away and replenishment, per the defined procedures, is important to supporting our high standards of customer service. Stock checks, bin facing for picker ready, stock rotation and inspection are also important DC Support functions.
DC Support TSMs are accountable for all associated DC support processes. The Lead Hand and / or DC Manager will monitor and guide all departments on a day‑to‑day basis ensuring functions are performed to meet or surpass standards for each function.
