Job Description
Working as part of the Video Department, our LED Wall Technician will assist the department leads in delivering quality video solutions to our clients in the Special Events, Corporate and Concert markets. Developing and delivering solutions in exciting and challenging environments and against tight deadlines, our Senior Engineers drive the onsite teams to ensure excellence is achieved in all aspects of delivery.
Requirements
- You are experienced in installing, configuration and working with modular LED panels.
- Trained in handling LED Panels and LED processing with Novastar and Brompton.
- Calculation of equipment power requirements for projects.
- Calculation of server output requirement, pixel counts and processor loading capacity for LED projects.
- You are experienced in working with at least one of the following content control systems : Resolume, Pixera, Disguise, Barco etc. and / or are eager to learn and would be happy to go on training camps organized by us.
- Experience working and operating on tours, concerts, large scale special events and corporate event environments.
- Computer skills, including all Microsoft Office applications, are essential.
- Must display a positive attitude both in the warehouse and on-site.
- Methodical and analytical approach to work with good fault-finding skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to cope well under pressure and capable of working to deadlines.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and able to work under own initiative as well as part of a team.
- Actively demonstrate and promote safe working methods / safe lifting practices.
- Ability to maintain a safe, clean and hazard-free environment.
- Ability to understand and comply with the Company’s Health and Safety Rules.
- Fluency in English, both written and oral, is essential.
- Full clean driving license.
Key Responsibilities :
Work as part of the team in the design, preparation, installation and operation of all video equipment.Maintaining and updating technical documentation regularly.Ensure equipment software is current and licenses are obtained as required.Ensure an acceptable working pace is maintained in the department.Identify common faults within the prep process and report to the Video Operations Manager.Testing new and repaired hardware and software before full-scale installation.Safety label and store customer content.Inform the Video Operations Manager of any shortages of equipment / consumables for forthcoming jobs.Support the department with routine maintenance and repair of equipment where needed.Ensure the Company’s quality standards are maintained at all times.Keep up to date with the latest technology within the department.Ensure all equipment the Senior Video Engineer is responsible for is ready to work as it is required during the event and undertake a responsibility for show operating.Faulty / Damaged equipment to be clearly marked and Video Operations Manager / Operations Manager / Service Manager notified of this at the earliest opportunity.Ensure correct equipment entry onto the equipment rental software, Flex, including barcodes.Support the Video Operations Manager with routine maintenance to ensure the equipment is kept in a good, safe and efficient working condition.Attend production and site meetings as required.Our recruitment process goes as follows : 1.
