Job Role : FSO Engineer
Location : Brampton, ON (Onsite)
Job Description
This role will provide overall hardware / software support to employees and incoming new hires, including weekly reports, inventory management, and other administrative tasks. The successful candidate will deliver optimal customer service, adapt to change, and may travel between offices (up to 150 miles).
Responsibilities
- Image and install software on Windows and Apple laptops / desktops (including iMac), handling installations, moves, additions, and changes, plus remote support.
- Troubleshoot post-deployment issues on Windows, Macintosh, and mobile devices.
- Handle printer break‑fix and installation.
- Manage disposal, redeployment, and asset reclaim.
- Coordinate data backup and recovery.
- Perform hardware refreshes.
- Manage warranty and out‑of‑warranty repair and replacement.
- Maintain spare parts inventory.
- Provide audio and video support, including health checks.
- Oversee inventory and asset management at Depot Operations.
- Coordinate with external vendors for dispatch support.
- Identify and resolve hardware and software application conflicts.
- Open, close, and track service requests; manage classification and assignment.
- Tag assets and enter all incoming equipment into the asset management system.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to onboard new hires.
- Ensure hardware assignments are accurately updated in the system.
- Generate weekly physical inventory reports and track hardware outflows.
- Work with external suppliers to schedule repairs for damaged / malfunctioning hardware.
- Ensure resolutions meet company standards and policies.
Requirements / Qualifications
Prefer 3‑5 years of IT experience, including technical training.Knowledge of Windows and Macintosh platforms (including portables) and Microsoft Office suite.Experience imaging Windows 10 OS.Basic network concepts (TCP / IP, Windows networking, Ethernet).Experience using PC‑based word processing, presentation, and e‑mail software.Experience with PC‑based spreadsheet software for formulas, calculations, and functions.Willingness to work extended hours or a modified schedule for support or emergencies.Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills.Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize competing requests.Experience in a call center or help‑desk environment.MCP and / or A+ certification desired.Strong aptitude for learning.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Ability to work in a team environment.Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.Own car for transportation (mileage reimbursed).Job Details
