Our client is hiring a NOC Technician to join their team here in Ottawa . The primary responsibility will be to provide support to their network environment by monitoring the network and taking action on anomalies that arise.
Responsibilities
- Ensure network security, updates, and monitoring, including fault prevention, hardware support, and maintenance coordination.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts and escalate incidents effectively for prompt resolution.
- Manage incident ticketing accurately to facilitate communication among teams.
- Assist in researching, selecting vendors, and implementing new network services.
- Mentor team members, identify automation opportunities, and collaborate on procedural improvements.
Qualifications
- Degree in Telecommunication, Computer Science, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering preferred.
- Proficiency in GSM & LTE networks, routers, and shared server technologies.
- Preferred certifications : CCNA and CCNP.
- Familiarity with ITILv3 and / or ITILv4 frameworks.
- Expertise in switching, routing, Unix / Linux Administration, and technical troubleshooting.
- Extensive experience supporting IT infrastructure in complex environments.
- Proven track record in incident management and resolution.
- Adaptability to high-pressure situations and complex technical issue resolution.
- Exceptional English communication skills for clear conveyance of complex information.
- Strong time management and organizational abilities for multitasking in dynamic environments.
