Job Title : Senior Site Superintendent (ICI Construction)
Location : Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Company Overview : Our Client, one of Canada's Top 10 General Contractors, specializing in the Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional (ICI) sector is seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Superintendent for projects in the downtown core of Toronto.
Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage on-site construction activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and subcontractor coordination.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget, adhering to all relevant regulations and quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve issues and ensure project objectives are met.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Supervise and mentor site staff, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress reports, and safety records.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, accountability, and a strong commitment to quality and safety.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in ICI construction, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects.
- Minimum 3 years in Senior (Sr. Super) capacity.
- Extensive knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and best practices, particularly in the ICI sector.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate on-site teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, with knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices.
- Downtown Toronto residency preferred
