Working Business Language : This role is considered a head-office role and will be required to communicate with internal stakeholders across Canada where the primary business language utilized is English.

The salary offered is estimated to be within the following range : $80, 000 - $100, 000. Candidates with salary expectations outside of the range are still encouraged to apply.

Job Overview

Working under minimal supervision, the Training & Communication Specialist - Security Awareness, contributes to Wawanesa's success through supporting the design, development and / or modification of Security Awareness training and communication materials across the organization.

Job Responsibilities

  • Carry out activities that support the development and implementation of the Security Awareness Program. This will include contributing to the development and curation of e-learning modules, newsletters, communication campaigns, bulletins, presentations, storyboards, videos, scripts, monthly meetings, and webinars.
  • Support the delivery of training programs and present to organizational stakeholders utilizing appropriate training methods (virtual or in person presentations, webinars, quick reference guides, on the job training, webinars, etc.).
  • Develop and manage communications to support Security Awareness and other Information Security related initiatives ensuring consistent, appropriate, and accurate messaging.
  • Develop Simulated phishing exercises based on real threats and threat reports.
  • Create surveys aimed at measuring the effectiveness of training and communications.
  • Summarize evaluation reports and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and liaise with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy of materials.
  • Participate in and contribute to peer reviews of training and communication materials.
  • Works with cross-functional team members, and peers within the organization to identify and develop new content for communication campaigns and learning and development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Learning & Development for alignment and application of Learning & Development best practices.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Communications for alignment of the Security Awareness Communication program, content reviews, and scheduling article and webinar releases.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years’ experience working in an Enterprise Organization developing training programs.
  • Achievement of or working towards Program Development for Adult Learners (PDAL) certificate, Certificate in Adult and Continuing Education (CACE), or equivalent.
  • Creative communications degree or diploma, marketing degree or diploma, or equivalent experience is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively tailor messaging to target different audiences and represent different presenters.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to articulate ideas, thoughts, and recommendations in a meaningful and thoughtful manner.
  • Excellent writing skills including spelling, punctuation, and grammatical skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct detailed data analysis.
  • Proficient with common workplace productivity tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong planning and organization skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Experience working with tools such as ProofPoint Security Awareness and Training, Articulate 360 Suite, Vyond, or similar is considered an asset.
  • Experience in Enterprise IT, Information Security, or IT Risk is considered an asset.
