Hybrid role in Vaughan, Canada
Pizza Hut Canada is looking for a critical thinker with a growth mindset to join our team as a Development Manager. Reporting directly into the Chief Development Officer, you will work in close collaboration with the various functions of the organization.
You will be expected to identify key priorities and make solid decisions based on sound business principles and professional judgment ensuring that regulatory compliance is maintained.
Core Duties / Responsibilities (includes but not limited to) :
- Responsible for delivering Net New Unit Growth annual target within assigned portfolio
- Within assigned portfolio of franchisees, own end-to-end development process from site approval to restaurant opening
- Works cross functionally with internal stakeholders, such as : Legal, Finance and Operations
- Builds and manages relationships with key franchise partners to further the business growth agenda
- Responsible for ownership of annual development pipeline and structuring efficient ways to manage pipeline projects that include new builds, closures, relocations, renewals, and upgrades
- Implement and prioritize market planning for future development pipeline across penetrated provinces and new regional opportunities
- Manage internal development systems with up-to-date information for cross-functional partners and Pizza Hut Global Development Team along with presentations to Canada Leadership Team and Global Team
- Seeks new, innovative, and sustainable ways to grow Pizza Hut Restaurant count in Canada
- Responsible for all related negotiations from start to finish
Required Skills :
- Minimum - years of experience in Sales, Finance or relevant field (QSR considered an asset)
- Experience working with franchisees
- A Growth Mindset - Highly motivated Go-getter with a strong drive for continuous improvement and positive attitude
- Team-first culture champion who demonstrates leadership and ability to build effective relationships
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to self-prioritize unexpected projects and timelines
- Strong financial and business analytical skills
- Strong leadership and influencing skills are essential
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and written
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills
- Ability to perform under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced environment
Preferred :
- Retail / restaurant industry experience
- Understanding of real estate process is a plus
- Degree in Finance, Business or Engineering desired
- Bilingual (English / French) is a plus
- Knowledge of GIS is a plus
