Job Summary
Ontario Tech University is expanding its Ancillary Services portfolio — and we are seeking an exceptional leader to shape the future of Parking Services across both Ontario Tech and Durham College campus locations. This is a unique opportunity to modernize a high-impact service area, elevate customer experience, and build a cohesive and community-minded operation that supports thousands of students, faculty, staff, and visitors each day.
The Manager, Parking Services oversees the full parking operation for all campus locations, ensuring a safe, orderly, and equitable parking environment. You will lead a dedicated team, advance the use of modern enforcement and permitting technologies, resolve complex customer matters, and collaborate across the institution to support effective mobility planning.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, people-focused environment where operational excellence, fairness, and community service intersect.
Nature of work
The Manager, Parking Services reports to the Director of Ancillary Services and oversees a busy operational environment that includes parking operations, enforcement activities, and staff supervision across multiple campus locations. The role combines office work with outdoor responsibilities such as site visits, patrols in all weather, and the use of equipment including enforcement vehicles and LPR technology. The position involves frequent interaction with community members, including situations that may be tense or confrontational, requiring sound judgment and strong communication skills. While hazards are limited, the role does involve risks associated with vehicle operation, outdoor conditions, and active parking areas where safety awareness is essential.
