Our client is seeking a Director of IT for a full-time opportunity! This is a fully on-site role.

  • Must have experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience successfully completing ERP rollouts (eg : Sage, SAP, MS Dynamics, etc.).
  • Experience with assessing the technical environment, and making recommendations to move from a legacy on-prem to a more modernized cloud environment.

What & Why :

The Director of Information Technology will create and implement a strategy to modernize the organization’s information technology.

The Director will oversee analytics, data, software, hardware and connectivity - providing tools and support to their staff.

The Director will manage a small team of people as well as relationships with vendors of IT goods and services. In first year of employment, the Information Technology Team will work with internal staff and upgrade legacy tools at their organization.

The Director will also work with staff to provide access to real-time (or near real time) data for decision making. The Director will be proactive and monitor trends to ensure their systems are current and take advantage of the latest technological developments.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Improve our client’s profitability, productivity, quality, and staff morale by providing outstanding tools, training, and data
  • Maintain security and data integrity of all systems, including manufacturing and PLC network that is behind a firewall
  • Lead the business technology planning
  • Maintain daily performance of technology systems and software
  • With Chief Financial Officer, spearhead new programs and systems
  • Oversee implementation of new programs
  • Create procedures for identifying and solving technology issues
  • Assist in complex support cases, repairs, and installs
  • Develop relationships with outside vendors
  • Manage staff and budget
  • Manage team members' project workflow and ensure completion of tasks

You :

You will bring the following education, skills and experience to the role :

  • 5+ years experience managing IT in manufacturing or processing
  • 8+ years working in IT operations
  • Knowledge of database systems, APIs, and reporting tools
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365, SQL, and Sage financial systems is a plus
