Manager, Clinical Operations – Interior Health
Interior Health is hiring a Permanent Full Time Manager, Clinical Operations for the Community Transitions team and the Community Long‑Term Care Access team at Royal Inland Hospital (RIH). This role supports timely discharge planning, reduces hospital length of stay, optimizes short‑stay and long‑term care bed usage, strengthens linkages with community and home‑care services, and ensures effective post‑discharge follow‑up.

Core Responsibilities
Provides leadership for clinical practice by identifying best practices and ensuring structures and processes support a best‑practice model of careEvaluates effectiveness of care, responds to patient care issues and public concerns, and facilitates communication to achieve positive outcomesFacilitates and directs the development, implementation, and evaluation of unit‑specific goals, standards and policies in alignment with Interior Health objectivesMaintains fiscal accountability, monitors budgets, identifies variances, and takes corrective action to keep expenditures within approved limitsParticipates in local quality improvement and risk management initiatives according to Interior Health standardsAnalyzes current trends and data in the assigned area to improve accessibility, comprehensiveness, efficiency, and effectiveness of service / careCoordinates utilization of shared resources with other departments or sites as part of the local management teamCollaborates with interdisciplinary team members to plan and deliver effective and efficient care within the portfolio, supporting operational and strategic objectivesRecruits, hires, disciplines, and terminates staff as required; mentors, coaches, performs performance evaluations, and develops staff training and succession plansAdministers collective agreements and represents the employer in grievance processes, union / management committees and essential service situationsIdentifies educational needs of staff, ensures mechanisms support quality patient care, and plans professional development opportunitiesMaintains a positive and productive work environment, promotes a quality work environment, and acts as a change agent fostering innovation and critical thinkingRepresents Clinical Operations and assigned clinical areas on internal and external committees as requiredMaintains health and safety compliance, responds to WSBC requests, identifies hazards, communicates risks, ensures training compliance, conducts incident investigations, and implements corrective actionsPerforms other related duties as assignedSalary Range
Salary range for the position is $116,591 to $167,600. Interior Health establishes salaries within the minimum and maximum of the salary range based on qualifications, experience, and an internal equity review.
