Job Summary
United Motorz is seeking an experienced and motivated Service Manager / Service Advisor to join our in-house mechanic shop. Most of our work supports our used car dealership through inspections, repairs, and reconditioning. We’re also expanding our retail service business, and we need a strong team player who can help grow that department while keeping daily shop operations running smoothly.
Our facility includes 8 hoists, 6 technicians, 1 parts advisor , and a hands-on service manager. This position is ideal for someone who understands shop flow and can work effectively with both internal departments and retail customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage repair orders for reconditioning and safety inspections
- Work closely with technicians to prioritize internal jobs
- Coordinate with the parts advisor to ensure timely parts sourcing
- Maintain accurate service records for all vehicles
- Provide excellent customer service for walk-in and retail clients
- Prepare clear estimates and provide regular updates to customers
- Help improve processes for internal and customer-pay repairs
- Communicate with the sales department about urgent internal work
Qualifications
3+ years as a Service Advisor or Service WriterStrong understanding of mechanical repairs and used vehicle inspectionsExperience with internal and customer work orders (an asset)Excellent communication and multitasking abilitiesProficiency with shop management systems (AutoLeap, RO software, etc.)Team-oriented; able to work with technicians, parts, and salesValid driver’s license and clean driving recordService advisor experience : 2 years (required)Marketing automation : 1 yearAutomotive sales industry regulations : 1 yearWhat We Offer
