What you'll do
Responsibilities
- As part of the Wesley Armour School of Business, Hospitality & Tourism and reporting to the Academic Chair, Administrative Professional, you will be responsible for planning and preparing instructional materials and resources;
- establishing and managing a positive learning environment; instructing and evaluating students; building and sustaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, community partners, and stakeholders;
as well as other related duties.
Key Responsibilities :
You will have experience working within a bilingual administrative office with a focus on professional communication and administrative skills.
You will instruct primarily Anglophone students in French, grammar and speaking. You must be willing and able to integrate technology and active student learning techniques into teaching practices and be flexible in adapting to new technologies.
You must demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to plan and organize effectively in a team environment.
What you'll need
Qualifications
A two-year Diploma in Office Administration or Business Administration. Preference will be given to candidates with a minimum of five (5) years of practical administrative experience.
OR a Bachelor of Education Degree with a concentration in Business (Office Administration). Preference will be given to candidates with a minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated practical experience in an administrative office.
Candidates must have scored a minimum of Advanced Plus on the New Brunswick Evaluation for French Language Proficiency.
Written and spoken competence in English and French is required.
- Highly flexible with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to navigate and build relationships effectively throughout the organization.
- High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, analytical ability, and innovative thinking.
- Self-motivated, service and results oriented.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and within a team.
- A desire for continuous learning and growth.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching grammar at a secondary and / or post-secondary level will be considered an asset.
- Preference may be given to candidates who have experience working in a post-secondary environment.

Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be raised.
