Position Summary
The Service Dispatcher is responsible for scheduling technicians’ jobs with customers (internal and external), ensuring MasonLift’s customer standards are being met.
Specific Accountabilities
Plan and coordinate service calls with and in conjunction with Parts Department, Service Writer, PSSR, available Field Service Technician and Customers for all necessary follow up repairsRespond to customer communication for all service requirementsUpdate tracking sheet accurately and consistentlyCreate work orders at the time of taking a call with correct details needed, ie : Bill To, Ship To, Unit and details of issue(s)Handle calls on a priority basisSchedule technicians in designated areas / customers as much as possibleUpdate customers with ETAPlan technician’s workload in advance and in consultation with technician prior to committing to a customer ensuring they have parts on hand prior to dispatchingSchedule and maintain PM’sCreate and attach required PO # immediately to the work orderUpdate Dispatch Module in Softbase throughout day and review any incomplete workFollow up daily on all jobs that have outstanding partsResponsible to maintain a low WIP in collaboration with the Service Manager.Ensure customers protocols and expectations are passed onto technicians, ie : Orientations, PPE, Sign in and Sign Out procedures, etc.Dispatch technicians at the end of every day for work next dayAdvise Service Manager, ASR and / or Service Coordinator of customer issues and / or concerns.Add equipment to Equipment Module as requiredQualifications
Education & Work Experience
Post-secondary diploma and 2 years’ experience as a Service Coordinator scheduling field technicians
Competencies and Skills
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to resolve issues with drivers, colleagues, etc.Proficient in the use of MS Office - Word, Excel, and OutlookMasonLift is an equal opportunity employer.
