Reporting to : Supervisor Operations and Human Resources

Core purpose of the job :

• Airport Operations Coordination monitor and respond to internal / external communications in a 24-7 operations center.
• Security Support central communication point. Coordinate and dispatch security response, monitor access control.
• Resource Allocation plan and assign resources, such as gates, counters and baggage belts. Make sure all flight information is updated and accurate.

Scope of Duties and Responsibilities :

• Dispatching resources as required and providing status updates based on established work instructions and procedures.
• Monitoring and interpreting multiple airport monitoring systems and reacting to information received based on established standard operating procedures.
• Acting as a central point of contact for airport communications by monitoring multiple radio channels and phone lines;

determining the appropriate responder(s) or resource to attend an event.

• Generating workorders in Zendesk as required from phone / radio calls, monitoring the event if required, recording event status, and performing follow up actions to determine the status of incomplete events and report findings.
• Maintain status logs of equipment and event for publication.
• Assist in emergency response and event recovery when directed.
• Monitor access control systems using CCTV and dispatch resources as required.
• Facilitate and Coordinate acces for maintenance, special events, construction, etc.
• Act as a central point of communication for all security incidents
• Monitor and assist in the coordination of operations within the terminal and airside such as swing operations, maintenance shutdowns, PSL displacements, construction, and baggage operations, GSE building after hours
• Assist internal / external customers and airport stakeholders with RAIC / keycard access issues.
• Assessment of unattended items and dispatch of appropriate resources
• Knowledge expert in the functionality and operating of all security related and access control systems.
• Undertake such other duties appropriate to the level and character of work as may reasonably be required within the Department / Service
• Assist in emergency response and event recovery when directed.
• Plan and coordinate schedule changes and operation delays.
• Plan and execute the daily Terminal Facility allocation in accordance with Winnipeg Richardson International Airport Common Use Plan of Operations and its related processes and procedures.
• Assign baggage carousels and ensuring updated information is posted on the Baggage Information Display System (BIDS)
• Assign outbound baggage carousels to flights and check-in counters to various airline carriers
• Ensure Flight Information Display Systems (FIDS) accurately display flight details (includes website)
• Manage expectations as a result of irregular operations according to Winnipeg Richardson International Airport guidelines.
• Review & confirm airline schedules in advance to assist in resource planning.
• Communicate with tenants, operational agencies and Winnipeg Richardson International Airport departments regarding facility allocation decisions that are as a result of irregular operations to ensure consistent service delivery.
• Assist in emergency response when directed
• Capable of applying conflict resolution techniques during difficult customer situations. Works well with others and is a team player Strong communication skills and critical thinking.

Able to handle multiple priorities with excellent attention to detail while under pressure.
