What you will be doing

As of October 18, 2021, AmerisourceBergen requires all Canadian team members to be fully vaccinated and show proof of completed vaccine status at time of hire. Logistics Specialists support the execution and planning of logistics solutions. This involves, reviewing and triaging communications, collaborating with internal stakeholders, supporting first-pass tasks like document review and updating shipment records as well as servicing requests from other offices in the World Courier network.

Logistics Specialists must be able to handle basic duties involved in offering premium courier services and have the ability to work in a high pressure environment. The Logistics specialist must demonstrate a sense of urgency and determination to help in critical situations. He / she must be at ease dealing with details of logistics and must be flexible to work on different shifts including the possibility of days, evenings, nights, and on weekends. Logistics specialists must be customer focused, service minded problem solvers and good team players.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Triaging tasks with more senior associates
  • Liaising with airlines, agents and occasionally other parties involved.
  • Providing support to colleagues and internal customers.
  • Executing planned logistics solution.
  • Creating basic shipment orders.
  • Following up on orders and working with colleagues to expedite and resolve issues.
  • Using World Courier facilities and tools to comply with requirements.
  • Pre-advising destination offices for shipments with special requirements.
  • Entering clear, precise instructions in order file.
  • Develop creative solutions which are in line with the best interest of the client.
  • Deal directly with everyone at all levels of the logistics chain : clients, drivers, customs, etc.
  • Work with other logistics specialists in World Courier’s vast network of offices

What your background should look like

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS :

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in customer care coupled with a High School diploma
  • Potential for travel to a multitude of destinations worldwide.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English and / or French
  • Creative problem solving
  • Flexibility to work multiple shifts
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision
