What Makes this Position so Exciting?
In this exciting staffing model, Guaranteed HISH CSWs will have guaranteed & consistent hours of work , week over week and have the opportunity to be a respected member of a larger healthcare team striving to provide high quality patient care and positive transition experience for both the patient and their caregivers.
The hours of work will be 7, 12-hour shifts within a 2-week rotation inclusive of weekends :
Two-week Rotation
Mon / Tues / Sat / Sun
0800 - 2000 hrs
Wed / Thurs / Fri
0800 - 2000 hrs
This is an equivalent of seventy-seven (77) hours per bi-weekly pay period!
We are looking for Community Support Workers (CSWs) to help us bring wrap-around patient-centered care to the Port Hope / Cobourg, ON & Surrounding areas.

- Valid certificate as a Personal Support Worker, Internationally Trained Nurse, Health Care Aid, Developmental Support Worker, Home Support Worker, or enrollment in a Nursing program
- To protect our patients, we require current vulnerable sector check screening, a clear background check
What The Role Involves
Contributing as a valued member of the interdisciplinary care teamAssisting with daily living activities, such as personal care (rise and retire), assistance with household tasks, respite care, medication assistance, special functionsPromoting a safe environment by demonstrating proper body mechanics, safe transfer techniques, and home safetyProviding cognitive, social and / or emotional support to the patientPreparing nutritious, varied and economical meals and snacks, including special diets, as determined by the care plan, using proper food preparation, storage, and hygiene practicesProviding patient status reports and participate in patient / family care planning meetingsWhat You Bring
