Care Centres - Physician Assistant - On client's site

Location : Northwest Territories

Status : Full time, Temporary – 6-8 month position

Schedule : Fly-in / fly-out, 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off

What We'll Accomplish Together

In the role of Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) at this remote mining site in Northern Canada, you will work within the Occupational Health Clinic to provide care to a diverse worker population, within a team that is passionate about wellbeing and safety.

What You'll Do

• Provide urgent and emergency care to all patients seeking care in the clinic, within the scope of the medical directives, under remote direction of the Medical Director as applicable
• Provide occupational health services, to include spirometry, audiometry, ECG, vision testing, respiratory mask fit testing, custom ear plug fitting and more as part of the medical surveillance program
• Record all patient encounters and document appropriately using the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Communicate with onsite and offsite personnel to ensure appropriate patient care and safe return to work for medical absences, STD and LTD
• Report workplace injuries according to the client's internal policies, and to the appropriate territorial / provincial bodies as required
• Participate in the development and delivery of health educations and wellness campaigns
• Collaborate with client management and the broader TELUS team to drive improvements towards best practice and better health outcomes
• Management of medical supplies and clinic supplies

What You Bring :

Graduate of PACCC approved PA program, or ARCPA approved program

Master of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner
