Title : Clinical Nurse Advisor, Immunization
Salary : $86,981 - $101.370 per year (pay range explained below).
Contract : Permanent
Hours : 22.5 to 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday 8AM to 4PM.
Location : Metro Vancouver / anywhere B.C.- Hybrid (50% in office) or remote can be discussed.Candidates must live in B.C.
Bargaining Unit : PIPSC.
About the role
As Clinical Nurse Advisor, Immunization, you will provide direct, capacity-building immunization clinical, programmatic and educational support to First Nations People Living on-reserve in BC and the Community Health Nurses (CHN) who provide services to them.
These also includes the FNHA Regional Nursing Consultants who works with the CDC Nurse Specialist, Immunization to establish and coordinate a number of Immunization programs, including capacity building, clinical support, ongoing education and Skills Checklist assessment for CHNs.
They also provide training and supervision of programs for FNHA Regional Nurse Consultants, CHNs and Community Immunization Champions;
supports in preparing and maintain nursing education plans; does not provide direct care, acts as a resource person / educator for health directors and healthcare personnel in First Nations communities regarding the provision of immunization programs and provides assistance to individual Community Health Centres / Nursing Stations for immunization programs.
About you
- Bachelor of Nursing with a community health component plus two (2) years of experience in Immunization programming and experience working with First Nations people, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP).
- In depth knowledge of Immunization programs
- In depth experience as a Nurse Advisor (not a bed-side role)

The Pay Range is the minimum (Step 1) and maximum (highest Step) annual base salary based on full time equivalent hours.

We have a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all employees at First Nations Health Authority. This policy requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
