About the Role :
As an Early Childhood Assistant (ECA), you will be responsible for working collaboratively with childcare staff and the Supervisor at various centres located in Mississauga, Ontario .
Your primary focus will be on creating a nurturing environment for children to learn and grow, ensuring their safety, and supporting staff and classroom as needed, while strictly adhering to established policies, procedures, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities :
- Cultivate a nurturing learning environment for children to learn and grow.
- Ensure the safety of children during onsite and offsite through direct supervision, attendance, and other protocols.
- Ensures classroom environment is kept clean and organized, including all activity and program areas, and common spaces.
- Prepare meals / snacks and nap time in compliance with the centre policies and Public Health guidelines.
- Support staff and participate in activities as a play partner with children.
- Participate in all mandatory company activities, trainings and meetings.
- Form and nurture meaningful working relationships and partnerships with the centre and Sentient HR team.
- Comply diligently with all the centre and Sentient HR policies.
- Perform other duties as required.
What are we looking for?
To be successful in this position, you must have 6+ months of experience working with children in a licensed childcare centre.

- Professionalism, strong work ethics and excellent teamwork skills.
- A clear Vulnerable Sector Police check within the last six months.
- A valid Standard First Aid and CPR certificate.
- A completed Medical Form completed (will be sent to you as part of the onboarding process).
- Reliable transportation : ability to commute within the GTA is necessary.
Working Conditions :
- Occasional light to medium physical effort; lifting, bending and stooping.
- Must be able to work outdoors; may be exposed to heat, humidity or cold.
