Job Title : Enterprise Content Management Director
Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of CCS’s Enterprise Content Strategy and Roadmap to build scalable, sustainable content operations systems and processes.
- Create awareness and excitement across the organization, support change management, and transition the strategy from project-based governance to ongoing operations.
- Collaborate with leads of Accelerated Digital Roadmap initiatives—particularly data—to align content and data standards for integrated, personalized, and AI-ready digital experiences.
- Report to the VP, Cancer Information and Policy as the business lead for the Enterprise Content Strategy.
- Iterate content strategy and plans based on changing priorities and insights.
- Enable and support adoption of centralized ECS platforms with tech and business leads.
- Implement processes and leverage technology to optimize content workflows and performance.
- Onboard and support business areas adopting enterprise content capabilities to improve operational workflows.
- Create and maintain project plans, dashboards, risk registers, and maturity roadmaps for continuous content operations improvement.
Content Alignment, Governance and Performance
Establish content governance model and lead a cross-functional governance committee to optimize end-to-end content flow.Define enterprise roles and responsibilities at enterprise and team levels.Establish enterprise processes for content creation, management, and archiving to ensure compliance and quality.Transform journey maps into content operations and oversee enterprise content audits for structure, reuse, and metadata readiness.Standardize metadata, taxonomy, templates; optimize workflows, content models and authoring guides.Define and track enterprise content KPIs to inform decisions and support teams’ goals.Maintain shared libraries of reusable assets; ensure compliance with AI, copyright, accessibility, and other regulatory standards.Track progress against portfolio milestones to ensure transparency and accountability.Collaboration, Stakeholder Engagement and Change Management
Act as a trusted partner across business and technology stakeholders.Align teams to shared enterprise content goals and facilitate strategy reviews for alignment and performance monitoring.Collaborate with data governance, personalization, UX, omnichannel, and localization leads to optimize content.Develop or provide training for new processes and tools to foster a culture of content stewardship.Communicate implementation progress and celebrate successes; demonstrate impact.Support diversity, inclusion, belonging and equity (DIBE) across the organization.Other projects and duties as assigned.Qualifications
Post graduate education in information architecture, library sciences, information management, or related field.10–15 years in a senior-level role in a comparable field.Experience in content strategy, information architecture, and content management systems.Experience developing and implementing content governance frameworks and metadata standards.Hands-on experience with content management, digital asset management, component-based design systems, and governance.Strong leadership, change management, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.Systems thinking with experience implementing multi-tier enterprise systems and cross-organizational projects.Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.Fluency in French and English is highly preferred; French is an asset for nationwide operations.Other qualifications may apply.What you can expect from us
