What You'll Do
Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and adjust as neededManage the saw controls and ensure that accurate cut lengths are set per the work orderEnsure that quality requirements are met and understand the relationship between cut speed and cut qualityUnderstand the difference between types of alloys and tempers, and ensure that they are separated properly on different racksInspect finished products for defects and ensure that all parts meet quality standardsAble to distinguish between defects such as die lines, flatness defects, off-square products, etc.Assist in other areas on the line, such as packing, as neededMaintain a safe and clean workspace at all timesResponsible to follow the Occupational Health and Safety Act and all Can Art Company PoliciesWhat You Bring
High school diploma or equivalentMinimum 2 years' experience in a machine operator capacityPrevious experience in heavy manufacturing is an assetRequired Skills
Must be able to read and write in EnglishExperience with EPICS is an assetStrong attention to detail and ability to perform quality checksMust have basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensionsGood problem-solving skills to troubleshoot machine issuesAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targetsWorking Conditions
