Position Overview :
We are looking for a talented, energetic individual with a dedication to quality to join our growing Accounting team in Burnaby, B.C. The ideal candidate will have exposure and experience to full-cycle accounting environments and will be a versatile professional ready and able to assist in all tasks assigned as needed.
Responsibilities :
- Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared
- Perform daily cash management duties, including the recording of bank deposits, updating and distribution of cash receipt logs, and posting of cash to the accounts receivable sub‑ledger
- Prepare and record bank and month‑end journal entries.
- Prepare accounts reconciliations on monthly basis.
- Monthly Delivery of P&L with analysis to management
- Quarterly development of quarterly financials for management review (and eventual board delivery)
- Inclusive of P&L, Balance Sheet, Statement of Cashflow
- Development of cashflow projections aligned with revenue and spend trends
- Monthly analysis of inventory transactions and reporting on key trends
- Process Biweekly payroll and record and update R&D employee hours
- Additional general accounting support for the existing team, inclusive of AR and AP support.
Qualifications :
4-6 years experience in the full-cycle accounting environmentKnowledge of SAP and QuickBooksCollege diploma or degree in accountingPrevious experience in accounting or other related fieldsFundamental knowledge of GAAPExperience with current computer accounting programs and reporting toolsDetail and deadline-orientedStrong analytical and problem‑solving skillsFinancial analysis abilitiesTroubleshooting skills and multitasking abilityExcellent English business communication skillsApplicant Notes (Please read thoroughly before applying)
Fully remote work is not available for this position.This role requires a minimum in‑office presence of 4 days per week.Only candidates already local to Metro Vancouver will be considered.The company will not be offering relocation assistance for any successful hires.The pay range for this role is :
75,000 - 85,000 CAD per year (Canadian HQ)
