On behalf of our client, Affinity is hiring an Asset Management Analyst for a 12‑month contract based in Vancouver, British Columbia.
This operationally focused role supports maintenance and asset‑management operations during a major Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) transformation. The analyst will improve the accuracy, completeness, and usability of physical asset data within our EAM system (IBM Maximo or equivalent), enabling better lifecycle management, reporting, and decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities
Asset Data Management
- Improve the quality, structure, and completeness of physical asset data within the EAM system.
- Ensure assets are accurately configured, classified, and linked within asset hierarchies.
- Support asset onboarding, updates, and rationalization activities.
- Establish and maintain asset data standards and best practices.
Asset Lifecycle & Reporting
Support analysis across the asset lifecycle (acquire, operate, maintain, renew, retire).Develop and maintain reports and dashboards related to asset performance, risk, and condition.Identify data gaps and improvement opportunities to support long‑term asset strategies.Systems & Data Governance
Maintain accurate asset master data within IBM Maximo or an equivalent EAM system.Collaborate with stakeholders to improve data governance, data quality, and reporting consistency.Support the transition of asset data and processes into the EAM platform from spreadsheets or other tools.Stakeholder Collaboration
Partner with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams to understand asset data needs.Act as a subject‑matter resource for asset data and reporting questions.Support cross‑functional initiatives related to asset‑management maturity.Assets in Scope
Physical infrastructure assets, including :
HVAC systemsElectrical systemsBuilding and terminal infrastructureRoads, dikes, and surrounding infrastructureKey Qualifications
Post‑secondary education in engineering technology, asset management, business analysis, or a related discipline; or equivalent practical experience.5+ years of experience in asset management, asset data analysis, or EAM‑related roles within an asset‑intensive environment.Strong working knowledge of Enterprise Asset Management systems (IBM Maximo preferred; SAP EAM, Oracle EAM, or similar acceptable).Experience working with physical infrastructure assets in regulated, safety‑critical, or public‑sector environments is an asset.Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.Skills & Attributes
