What You’ll Do
- Tax, Accounting & Compliance (TAC) — Prepare financial statements and working papers, and assist with accounting for investment companies, personal and corporate tax returns (T1, T2); trust returns (T3), partnership filings (T5013) and corporations with real estate or portfolio management activities.
- Perform portfolio bookkeeping and analysis tasks.
- Prepare and support compliance reporting (GST/QST and payroll remittances).
- Maintain clear, professional communication with clients, government agencies and internal stakeholders.
- Follow established procedures to ensure accuracy and support junior team members with advice and on-the-job coaching as needed.
- Use accounting software effectively (e.g., QuickBooks, Write-Up, CaseWare, TaxPrep) and the Microsoft Office suite.
What You Need To Succeed
- College diploma in Accounting (minimum requirement).
- 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience, including bookkeeping, preparation of financial statements and tax returns.
- Practical experience with payroll and GST/QST is preferred.
- Comfortable using accounting software and strong Excel skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities.
- Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset.
