Job Description :
The Financial Analyst will be responsible for the preparation of the key quarterly notes to the financial statements for the accounting team and support key financial analysis and process improvements.
This role will also provide support to internal and external audits and responsible for preparing reporting schedules.
Key Responsibilities Include :
- Preparation of quarterly and annual note to the IFRS financial statements including comparative information and analysis
- Preparation and analysis for various annual assessment to ensure provisions are accurately reflected in company’s financial results
- Liaise with external auditor, coordinate and prepares supporting documentations as part of the interim and annual audits
- Provide support and financial analysis to accounting group and other business units to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal processes and IFRS
- Responsible for ensuring all consolidating entries are preformed accurately based on IFRS and ensuring controls are implemented to ensure the consolidation of financial statements are done correctly
- Participates in the testing of timesheet and payroll process improvements, working with confidential payroll data and ensure testing from time entry to payroll is thoroughly performed
- Streamline processes through automation and innovation and in coordination with the third party implementer, IT and business groups, evaluate and document company’s business processes both operational and financial
- Ensure compliance to legislative, regulatory and Health & Safety policies, procedures and standards as applicable
- Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements :
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting
- CPA / CMA / CA / CGA designation or close to completion
- 3+ years related work experience including financial reporting and analysis
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and through knowledge of IFRS
- Advanced level of knowledge and experience in financial modelling and management reporting
- Superior proficiency with IT-Based automated reporting tools ie Power BI
- Extensive working knowledge of Tier 1 ERP systems or related reporting systems
- Advanced proficiency with MS Excel including macros and advanced formulas
- Proficiency with MS office applications
- Highly self motivated and directed
- Ability to identify process gaps and recommend new processes
- High level attention to detail and accuracy
- Solid problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to provide practical and / or innovative solutions to complex technical issues
- Strong written and presentation skills with the ability to explain technical information in an organized and concise way
- Ability to plan, prioritize and execute multiple projects and initiatives within established timelines
- Abilities to build and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Must hold and maintain a valid class G’ driver’s license
