Job Description :

As the Financial Analyst, the candidate will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of the organization.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the candidate will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports and providing valuable insights to aid in the decision-making process.

Key Responsibilities Include :

  • Support the month-end process including account reconciliations, posting adjusted journal entries
  • Prepare financial reports including monthly financial statements, budget variance analysis and forecasting models
  • Support basic GAAP understanding and ensure compliance with regulatory standards in financial reporting
  • Assist with audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Monitor and track financial performance against budget and forecast and identifying areas of concern or opportunity
  • Assist with annual preparation of budget and long-term financial plans
  • Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance

Job Requirements :

  • CPA designation is a plus
  • 2+ years experience in a financial analysis role or related field
  • Proficiency in financial modelling and analysis techniques
  • Basic understanding of GAAP
  • Advanced Excel user (including Macros, Pivot Tables, VLookups and HLookups
  • Experience with QuickBooks or experience with QuickBooks Premier Nonprofit Edition preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce is a strong asset
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong analytical skills a demonstrated ability to solve complex problems
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to disseminate financial information to a non-financial audience
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
