Job descriptionMinimum high school diploma Technical training in automotive / heavy equipment mechanics is preferred Experience working with or around mechanized forestry equipment is considered an asset Mechanical aptitude is required Class 5 Drivers License with a clean drivers abstract is required Ability to work day and night shifts with some on-call availability is required Ability to work some weekends required Willingness to travel throughout the day to multiple job sites is required Familiarity with road construction activities Experience operating a log truck or Class 1 License is considered an asset Background or exposure to forestry or transportation Coordinate equipment movement, including arranging towing. Perform inspections and assessments alongside our mechanic. Schedule and dispatch grader for road maintenance. Oversee regular maintenance of forestry equipment and trucks.
